What Is Reiki Energy Healing?
Reiki is a gentle energy-healing practice originating in Japan that uses intentional, light touch or hands positioned slightly above the body to support relaxation and energetic harmony.
The word Reiki is commonly translated from the Japanese words rei, referring to universal or spiritual wisdom, and ki, referring to life-force energy.
From an energetic perspective, Reiki works with the understanding that our physical, emotional, mental and energetic experiences are interconnected. Stress, demanding schedules, emotional experiences and life transitions can sometimes leave us feeling depleted, disconnected or out of balance.
A Reiki session creates an opportunity to become still, receive supportive energy work and reconnect with yourself.
You remain fully clothed during a traditional Reiki session while comfortably resting on a treatment table. Reiki may be offered through gentle touch or without physical contact according to your preference.
No particular spiritual or religious belief is required to experience Reiki.

Reiki vs. Reiki Massage: Which Experience Is Right for Me?
Both experiences incorporate Reiki Energy Healing, but they offer different ways of receiving.
Choose Traditional Reiki Energy Healing if you:
Prefer little or no physical touch, want to focus primarily on energetic work, would like chakra balancing, or feel called toward a quiet and meditative healing experience.
Choose Reiki Massage if you:

What to Expect During a Reiki Session
Your experience begins before the Reiki itself.
When you arrive at Malena Energetics, you will have an opportunity to settle into the space and briefly discuss your intentions, preferences or anything you would like me to be aware of.
You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what needs to be “worked on.”
Sometimes the intention may simply be:
I need to rest.
I need to reconnect with myself.
I have been carrying a lot lately.
I want to feel more balanced.
That is enough.
During a traditional Reiki session, you remain comfortably clothed while resting on the treatment table. Reiki is offered through gentle touch or with the hands held above the body based on your comfort and preference.
The room is intentionally prepared to create a peaceful environment for relaxation and inward reflection.
You are always encouraged to communicate your needs and boundaries.
Chakra Balancing & Reiki
All Malena Energetics Reiki sessions include attention to the seven primary energy centers, or chakras.
The chakra system is an energetic framework traditionally used to explore the relationship between different areas of our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual experience.
During your session, I may intuitively observe areas that appear particularly active, depleted, restricted or in need of additional energetic support.
Reiki is then incorporated with the intention of encouraging greater balance throughout the overall energetic field.
This is not intended as a medical diagnosis or evaluation. It is an energetic wellness practice designed to support greater awareness, relaxation and harmony.
Reiki + EESystem Experience
Reiki Within the EESystem Energetic Environment
For those seeking a more immersive experience, Reiki can also be received within Malena Energetics' Energy Enhancement System (EESystem) room.
This combination brings together the personal, hands-on nature of Reiki Energy Healing with intentional time spent relaxing within the EESystem environment.
During your session, you simply rest while Reiki is offered and the EESystem operates in the surrounding space.
The experience is designed for individuals who feel called to combine energy healing, relaxation and wellness technology within one session.

Remote Reiki Energy Healing

Reiki does not necessarily require an in-person appointment.
Remote Reiki offers an opportunity to receive intentional energy-healing support while relaxing in your own home or another peaceful environment.
At your scheduled session time, you simply create a comfortable space where you can sit or lie down without interruption.
Remote Reiki may be a wonderful option for clients who:
Live outside San Diego
Prefer receiving energy work from home
Are traveling
Have limited availability for an in-person visit
Already work with Malena Energetics remotely
Feel more comfortable in their own environment
Distance does not change the intention with which the session is held. Your Remote Reiki appointment receives the same respect, presence and individualized attention as an in-person Reiki session.
