Akashic Records Glossary

The language surrounding the Akashic Records can sometimes feel unfamiliar when you are first introduced to this work. This glossary is intended to provide simple, accessible explanations of commonly used terms associated with Akashic Records readings, Soul-level exploration, energetic clearing, and the Soul Realignment® framework.

These definitions describe a spiritual and metaphysical framework and are offered as tools for personal reflection, self-awareness, and spiritual exploration.

Akashic Record

An individual Soul’s energetic record. Within the Soul Realignment® framework, the Record is understood to contain information associated with the Soul’s history, characteristics, choices, experiences, gifts, and patterns accumulated throughout its existence.

Akashic Records

A metaphysical repository of Soul-level information. The Akashic Records may be approached as an intuitive resource through which information about a Soul’s nature, history, Divine Gifts, purpose, choices, and spiritual evolution can be explored.

Rather than functioning solely as a method of prediction, the Records can be used to deepen self-understanding and explore how previous and present choices may be influencing current experience.

Akashic Records Reading

An intentional process of accessing Soul-level information within the Akashic Records.

Depending upon the type of reading, this may include exploration of the Divine Soul Blueprint, Soul origination, Divine Gifts, Soul Purpose, current patterns, past-life influences, blocks and restrictions, and areas in which greater alignment may be available.

Akashic Records Clearing

An energetic process intended to address Soul-level blocks, restrictions, or karmic patterns identified through an Akashic Records reading.

Within the Soul Realignment® framework, clearing does not remove free will or make choices on behalf of an individual. Instead, it is intended to reduce the energetic consequences of previous misaligned choices so the individual can make new choices from a more aligned state.

Alignment

A state in which a person’s choices, behaviors, relationships, and human expression increasingly reflect the inherent qualities of the Soul.

Alignment does not imply perfection. It represents an ongoing process of consciously choosing experiences that more authentically express who we understand ourselves to be.

Attunement

Within intuitive traditions, an attunement is an energetic process intended to support access to a particular level or source of information.

Soul Realignment® training uses specific attunements as part of its method for entering and working within the Akashic Records.

Blocks and Restrictions

Energetic consequences associated with choices that were not aligned with the Soul’s Divine nature.

Within the Soul Realignment® framework, blocks and restrictions may originate through choices made during the present lifetime or previous lifetimes. They are understood as patterns that may interfere with the expression of Divine Gifts, purpose, abundance, relationships, or other areas of human experience.

Choice

A foundational principle within Soul Realignment®.

The Soul is viewed as a powerful creator of experience through choice. Choices generate consequences, and those consequences contribute to the experiences and circumstances that follow.

Through greater awareness, an individual may consciously make new choices and therefore participate differently in the creation of their experience.

Clearing

The energetic component of Akashic Records work through which identified negative or misaligned influences are addressed.

Clearing is generally paired with conscious awareness and new choices so that a person can actively participate in creating a different experience moving forward.

Conscious Creation

The practice of recognizing that our choices, intentions, beliefs, actions, and energetic state participate in shaping our human experience.

Conscious creation emphasizes responsibility and awareness rather than viewing life entirely as something happening to us.

Divine Gifts

The inherent energetic qualities, strengths, capacities, and forms of expression associated with the nature of an individual Soul.

Divine Gifts can potentially be expressed in aligned or misaligned ways depending upon the choices made through the human experience.

Understanding these gifts can help an individual recognize qualities that have been present throughout their life but may not previously have been understood from a Soul-level perspective.

Divine Self-Expression

The expression of the Soul’s inherent nature through human life.

This may occur through relationships, creativity, service, communication, work, leadership, healing, family life, personal development, or countless other experiences.

Within this framework, spiritual growth is not about escaping human life but about allowing the Soul’s qualities to become increasingly embodied within it.

Divine Soul Blueprint

The unique energetic design of the Soul.

The Divine Soul Blueprint contains qualities associated with how the Soul is designed to express itself through its human experience. It provides a framework for understanding Divine Gifts, Soul characteristics, Soul origination, areas of specialization, and other Soul-level attributes.

The Blueprint itself represents the Soul’s inherent design rather than something that needs to be “fixed.”

Energetic Influence

An energetic pattern or condition understood to affect an individual’s present experience.

Influences may be supportive or restrictive and may originate from present-life experiences, previous choices, relationships, past-life experiences, environments, or other Soul-level dynamics depending upon the reading framework being used.

Energetic Signature

The unique combination of energetic qualities associated with an individual.

Within Akashic Records work, examining this signature can provide insight into the energies a person is expressing and whether those energies currently reflect their deeper Soul nature.

Energy Centers

Within the Soul Realignment® framework, Energy Centers are aspects of the Soul Profile associated with particular energetic qualities, training, abilities, strengths, and potential challenges.

They help provide greater understanding of how the Soul’s innate abilities may translate into practical human expression.

Free Will

The inherent ability to choose.

Free will is central to Akashic Records clearing because clearing does not replace personal responsibility or determine what someone must do next.

A clearing may create greater energetic availability, but each person remains responsible for how they choose to engage with that opportunity.

Higher Self

A higher-dimensional or expanded aspect of the individual consciousness that is understood to retain greater awareness of the Soul’s nature and experience.

Within the Soul Realignment® framework, the Higher Self is regarded as an important intuitive resource and is understood to have access to the individual’s own Akashic Record.

Intuition

The ability to receive or perceive information beyond ordinary analytical reasoning.

Within structured Akashic Records work, intuition is developed alongside discernment, accuracy, energetic awareness, and clear questioning rather than relying solely upon spontaneous impressions.

Intuitive Accuracy

The practice of developing discernment about intuitive information.

Soul Realignment® emphasizes establishing accuracy, recognizing the source of intuitive information, asking precise questions, and identifying possible interference or “blocks to Truth.”

Karma

The relationship between choice and consequence.

Within the Soul Realignment® perspective, karma is not primarily presented as punishment or reward. Instead, choices create energetic consequences, and those consequences participate in shaping subsequent experiences.

Karmic Law

The spiritual principle that choices generate corresponding consequences.

Understanding karmic law can help shift the focus from blame or punishment toward awareness, responsibility, learning, and conscious choice.

Karmic Pattern

A recurring energetic pattern connected with previous choices and their consequences.

A karmic pattern may continue influencing present circumstances until it is recognized, understood, energetically addressed, and supported by different choices.

Manifesting Blueprint

A specialized aspect of the Divine Soul Blueprint explored within advanced Soul Realignment® work.

It describes how the Soul is uniquely designed to participate in the manifestation process, including aspects such as motivation, interaction, action, vibrational change, and movement toward intended outcomes.

The Manifesting Blueprint is regarded as part of the Soul’s inherent design rather than something requiring clearing.

Negative Choice

Within this framework, a negative choice does not necessarily mean that someone is a “bad” person.

It describes a choice that does not authentically express or align with the individual’s Divine Soul nature.

Such choices are understood to generate consequences that may eventually appear as limitations, repeating patterns, or energetic blocks.

Negative Karmic Pattern

An ongoing energetic consequence resulting from choices that were incongruent with the Soul’s inherent Divine nature.

These patterns may continue influencing an individual beyond the circumstances in which the original choice occurred.

Past-Life Influence

An energetic pattern associated with experiences or choices understood to have occurred during another incarnation of the Soul.

In an Akashic Records reading, past-life information is generally explored when it helps illuminate a pattern affecting the present experience rather than simply for historical curiosity.

Pendulum Dowsing

A structured intuitive technique that uses the movement of a pendulum in response to carefully formulated questions.

Within Soul Realignment®, pendulum dowsing is one of the tools taught for systematically researching information within the Akashic Records.

Polarity

The way an energetic quality may be expressed constructively or dysfunctionally.

Within the Divine Soul Blueprint framework, the same underlying Divine Gift can potentially manifest differently depending upon choices, consciousness, and circumstances.

Understanding polarity can therefore help someone recognize that a perceived challenge may sometimes represent a Divine Gift being expressed in a misaligned way.

Property or Object Clearing

An energetic clearing focused on a physical environment or object rather than solely on an individual Soul Record.

Within Soul Realignment®, property and object clearing is used to identify and address negative energetic influences associated with homes, workplaces, land, or objects.

Realignment

The process of returning to increasingly congruent expression of the Soul’s inherent nature.

Realignment involves more than energetic clearing. It also requires awareness, responsibility, integration, and choices that support the individual’s Divine self-expression.

Soul

The enduring spiritual aspect of the individual whose experiences extend beyond a single human lifetime within the Akashic Records framework.

The Soul is understood to possess inherent qualities, gifts, characteristics, intentions, and a continuing path of spiritual evolution.

Soul Group

A category of Souls sharing certain foundational characteristics or energetic qualities.

Soul Groups provide one perspective for understanding similarities in how different Souls approach creation, relationships, service, learning, and human experience.

Soul Group of Origination

The Soul group with which an individual Soul is understood to have originated.

Within Soul Realignment®, Soul Group of Origination is considered an important component of the Divine Soul Blueprint because its characteristics may influence the Soul’s natural strengths, challenges, preferences, and expression throughout human life.

Soul-Level

A perspective that considers the deeper spiritual identity and history of the individual rather than examining circumstances solely through the personality or current lifetime.

When something is described as occurring “at Soul-level,” it refers to information or patterns associated with this broader spiritual dimension of experience.

Soul Origination

The exploration of where and within what type of Soul group the individual Soul is understood to have originated.

Soul Origination is used within Soul Realignment® to provide additional understanding of the Soul’s underlying characteristics, gifts, and purpose.

Soul Profile

A structured overview of Soul-level information obtained through the Akashic Records.

The Soul Profile may explore aspects of the individual’s inherent energetic nature, Soul Origination, gifts, training, current alignment, and other qualities relevant to understanding how the Soul expresses itself through human life.

Soul Purpose

The expression of the Soul’s inherent Divine qualities through its human experience.

From this perspective, Soul Purpose does not necessarily mean discovering one predetermined career, mission, relationship, or task.

Instead, purpose is expressed whenever the individual brings their authentic Soul-level gifts and qualities into the choices and experiences of everyday life.

Soul Record

The portion of the Akashic Records associated with an individual Soul.

A Soul Record is understood to contain information accumulated throughout the Soul’s history and may be researched to better understand Soul characteristics, choices, patterns, gifts, and experiences.

Spiritual Evolution

The continuing development and expansion of consciousness through experience and choice.

Within Akashic Records work, spiritual evolution can be understood as the Soul increasingly learning to consciously express its Divine nature through its experiences.

Spirit Guides

Nonphysical spiritual resources understood to provide information, perspective, or support.

Within the Soul Realignment® perspective, Spirit Guides may support an individual, but personal sovereignty and free will remain central. Spiritual guidance is a resource rather than a replacement for personal choice.

Vital Force Energy

The foundational creative energy described within Soul Realignment® as supporting physical life and the manifestation of human experience.

Vital Force Energy is associated with the Soul’s ability to animate the physical body, sustain energetic resources, and bring Divine self-expression into physical reality.

Within this framework, greater access to Vital Force Energy supports the ability to translate Soul-level intention into embodied experience.

A Simple Way to Understand the Process

The terminology becomes easier to understand when viewed as a progression:

Remember → Recognize → Understand → Clear → Realign → Choose → Embody

Remember who you are at Soul-level.

Recognize your Divine Gifts and inherent Soul Blueprint.

Understand the choices, experiences, and energetic patterns that have shaped your present circumstances.

Clear blocks and restrictions that may no longer support your Divine self-expression.

Realign with the inherent qualities of your Soul.

Choose consciously from greater awareness and personal sovereignty.

Embody those qualities through your relationships, actions, creativity, work, and everyday human experience.

The purpose of an Akashic Records reading is therefore not to surrender personal authority to the Records. It is to gain another perspective from which greater awareness and more conscious choices may become possible.
